After the 2020 season was cancelled due to Covid, the league returned in 2021 with six teams. No one had a dominant year, and perennial powerhouses Awkward and Ball Busters were both eliminated in the semifinals. The Machine overcame an early 3-0 deficit in game 3 of the finals to claim their first Heckscher Cup title.
