The 2019 Awkward team had one of the greatest seasons in LMSL history. They won 23 and lost 2, and allowed only 59 runs over 25 games. At one point they won 19 consecutive games, the last 15 of the regular season plus the first 2 rounds of playoffs. They faced the Ball Busters in the final, who were attempting to win an unprecedented 4th straight title, and almost did, before Awkward’s pitching and defense asserted itself in games 2 and 3.
